Soundtrack for Jet Set Radio is Now Available for Pre-Order

The high definition release of Sega and Smilebit’s cult hit classic, Jet Set Radio (originally titled Jet Grind Radio in America), will hit the digital gaming market this summer. For those eager fans who can not wait to skate back into the cel-shaded city of Tokyo-to and graffiti it all up again, here is a little something to hold you off till then. The soundtrack for Jet Set Radio is now available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes for $9.99. There is a catch, however. Not all the songs from Jet Set Radio have been included in its digital soundtrack. Instead, this musical collection contains a mix of songs from the first game and its sequel, Jet Set Radio Future. While it is disappointing not all the songs for Jet Set Radio have been collected for this soundtrack, it is a purchase still worth making for Hideki Naganuma’s music alone. There is also some solace in knowing Sega plans to keep a majority of Jet Set Radio’s music for the HD release of the game, so fans will be able to rock out to their favorite hits soon enough.

Jet Set Radio is scheduled to be released on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and PC on September 18th for $9.99/ 800 Microsoft Points. A PS Vita version of the game will also be available on October 16th, while the release date for the IOS and Android versions have yet to be announced.

I was a big fan of the original game when it launched for the Sega Dreamcast, so I am definitely looking forward to the HD release. What about you? Sound off in the comments below.
